Terrae by Fedrigoni : a paper born from the Earth
Terrae is ideal for all types of creative communication and graphic design projects, such as invitations, greeting cards, covers, inserts, and other promotional materials, as well as for innovative packaging solutions.
It is compatible with major printing systems: letterpress, offset, blind embossing, hot foil stamping, thermography, and screen printing. Its macroporous surface makes it particularly suited to oxidative drying inks.
Varnishing and plastic lamination should be evaluated beforehand. Varnish applied via offset press is almost entirely absorbed, offering little improvement in gloss or protection. Screen printing varnish produces better results, although a second layer is often needed to achieve a noticeable effect. Due to the rough surface typical of uncoated papers, plastic lamination may lead to micro-defects caused by incomplete adhesion of the film to the substrate.
The paper performs well in key finishing processes such as die-cutting, punching, scoring, folding, and gluing.
